Nora Wolthers

Nora Wolthers is a self-described "lab rat," which explains her unusual photograph. She grew up in Arizona, attended the University of Arizona (undergrad) and Western New Mexico University (masters in education), and spent many years working as a chemist in the copper mining industry. At that point, she decided she wanted a change of pace and so she became a teacher, then moved to Tennessee to be closer to her kids and grandkids.

Mrs. Wolthers has been teaching at CCCHS for four years. When it comes to advice, she tells her students to take math EVERY semester -- at least up to Algebra II and Trigonometry. "It is the ONLY way to do well in the physical sciences and on the ACT!" she says.
