Wayne Darrow

Wayne Darrow's family first came to Cheatham County in 1790 and he started working as a teacher at CCCHS shortly thereafter.

Actually that is a slight exaggeration. A 1965 graduate of CCCHS and 1969 graduate of Tennessee Tech, Mr. Darrow started teaching at CCCHS in 1970. During his many years at this school, he has taught every course offered in the social studies department at one time or another and currently teaches Street Law, Modern European History and History of the American Cinema.

Mr. Darrow's interests include automobiles (he is a member of the Porche Club of America and the BMW Club of America). He likes taking long road trips and says he has driven "most" of the interesting and challenging two-lane highways east of the Mississippi River.

Wayne Darrow still teaches on a part-time basis but is officially retired as a full-time teacher.
