Daniel Newton
Daniel Newton became principal of Cheatham County Central High School in July 2009. Prior to that time he was the assistant principal of CCCHS for one year and the principal of Sycamore High School for two years.
Mr. Newton has spent some time in the pods of Cheatham County Central before. He graduated from CCCHS in 1988 and later got his marketing degree from Austin Peay, his masters in curriculum and instruction from Tennessee State University, and his administrative certification from Austin Peay. Earlier in his career he was a high school faculty member who taught business.
Daniel Newton is married at has two kids -- a boy (12) and girl (7). He can frequently be seen in attendance at Cubs sporting events, no matter what the weather. He loves to hunt and golf, but admits he hasn't had much time for both lately.
